A new skyscraper joins Sheikh Zayed Road

A 5-storey commercial building, located
on Sheikh Zayed Road, bid farewell to a
new multi-use skyscraper consisting of
80 floors and a height of 250 meters,
according to the sources of the economic
statement. The newly demolished old
building is the second building to be
demolished recently after the demolition
of the famous “City Tower 1” on Sheikh
Zayed Road and included 16 floors to
be replaced by an 83-storey skyscraper.
The demolition of low-rise buildings
and the construction of new high-rise
skyscrapers reflect a clear indication
of the rising demand on Sheikh Zayed
Road, which is adorned with unique
architectural icons on its sides and is
the longest and most important road
in the country and a magnet for major
international companies.
The sources indicated that the Alta
Development Company, the owner and
developer of the project, had awarded
the main construction contract to the
“Dubai Fajr Construction Distinguished”
company, while the “Access” company
had entrusted the engineering
consultancy work for the project, which
is located directly opposite the Burj
Khalifa, the tallest in the world and next
to the Wasl Tower, which is being built. It
was built with the longest ceramic facade
in the world.
