About UAE Contractors’ Association
UAE Contractors’ Association is a non- profit organization formed in 15 September 1985 under a
decree number (137) 1985 from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The principal objective of
the UCA is to strengthen the UAE construction industry and the construction contracting business
so that they can sustain their positive role in the task of national development of the UAE. This
overall objective is a achieved by the following means
• Assisting in constant up gradation of technology at the disposal of contractors.
• Serving as a common platform for contractors to fulfill their common interests and address the
common challenges.
• Serving as platform for contractors to coordinate and interact with the federal and local

• Coordinate with association and organization in other countries to facilitate two - way
exchange to trade, experiences and technology.
• Organize seminars, conferences and exhibitions designed to enhance knowledge and upgrade construction technology.
• Publish a technical magazine in Arabic and English to help initiate debate and disseminate information of construction technology.
• Cooperating between contracting companies and establishments in order to combine their efforts and thus improve the standard
of their operations.
The 37th Ordinary General Meeting of the UAE Contractors’ Association
The UAE Contractors Association held its 37th General Meeting at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 9th of March
2023 to discuss the association’s agenda for the fiscal year ending in 2022.
The Association Board of Directors Chairman, Dr. Ahmed Saif Belhasa welcomed the attendance of representatives from the Ministry
of Community Development, members of the board of directors and representatives of member companies of the association.
The General Secretary of the Contractors Association, Mr. Jamal Qassim Sultan, reviewed the annual report on the work of the
Board of Directors during the year 2022 and the various activities of the association and training courses, and the association’s
work plan for this year 2023, as well as discussing the final account for the fiscal year ending in 2022, approving the estimated
budget for 2022, and appointment of the new board of directors member, Mr. Omar Abdulla Abdulkarim Al Arif.
The members of the Board of Directors also extended their sincere thanks to all the attendees and representatives of the Ministry.
